2019: 86.6% of shareholders of the Moscow Exchange voted through E-voting
On May 13, 2019 it became known that the Moscow Exchange took vote at the annual general shareholder meeting (AGSM) using an electronic voting system of E-voting developed by National settlement depositary.
Electronic vote was available from April 5, 2019 to April 22, 2019 and also in day of holding a meeting – on April 25, 2019.
The share of the shareholders of the Moscow Exchange who took part in GOSA and voted electronically (E-voting and E-proxy voting), grew from 76.9% in 2018 to 86.6% in 2019.
Through service of electronic vote E-voting of NSD 55.9% from participated in a meeting voted (in 2018 - 20%). The number of the shareholders who voted through E-voting service grew up more than by 6 times: in total 497 shareholders on 538 accounts voted (in 2018 - 82 shareholders on 92 accounts respectively). On E-proxy voting technology (through the depositary) 273 shareholders on 291 account voted (in 2018 234 shareholders on 245 accounts).
We see significant increase in users of service and also we note in general positive influence of E-voting on representation of shareholders on GOSA. In comparison with 2018 the number of the shareholders who participated in a meeting grew up twice mainly at the expense of our platform. Every year the number of shareholders of the Moscow Exchange increases and already exceeded 40 thousand therefore it is important to company which aims to be the leader and an example in the field of corporate management to provide to shareholders a possibility of remote implementation of the rights. On May 4, 2018 the National Settlement Depositary (NSD) company announced that the Moscow Exchange at the annual general shareholder meeting (AGSM) took vote using service of electronic vote on the E-voting platform.
Through service of electronic vote of NSD (E-voting) 20% from participated in a meeting, on E-proxy voting technology (through the depositary) – 57% voted. More than 73% of voices which the persons who took part in GOSA had were given in electronic form.
Electronic vote was available from April 6, 2018 to April 23, 2018 and also in day of holding a meeting – on April 26, 2018. During this period shareholders could get acquainted remotely with materials for a meeting and vote via the Internet. The platform supports two languages: the interface, materials of a meeting and also questions put to the vote are available both in the Russian, and in English versions.
Access to the platform is provided to shareholders regardless of where their securities – are stored in the register or in depositary. For access to service there are several options of connection: the confirmed account on the Portal of public services, or the single login and the password of the registrar of society – JSC Status. Access to E-voting service is possible from any place in the world in the presence of the Internet, and is available both from personal computers, and from mobile devices.
