Severstal creates the system of protection of crucial productions based on an APCS of Datapk

On July 31, 2018 UTsSB company announced end of the first stage of the project on creation of a system of protection of crucial objects of domain and coke-chemical productions of PJSC Severstal.

Within the project, for increase in level of security from external cyberthreats and unauthorized information influence of production systems, the contractor booked audit of the specified productions, the conceptual project of a system of protection is developed. Tasks of separation of corporate and technology networks, reduction of points of their interface, additional segmentation of APCS networks, control of information exchanges, prevention of harmful activities and network anomalies and also of creation of a monitoring system of events of the cybersecurity integrated from security centralized by a corporate system of event management were solved.

At the final stage of the project in commercial operation the subsystem of ensuring network security and monitoring based on a hardware and software system of operational information security monitoring of automated process control systems (cybersecurity of an APCS) DATAPK is unrolled. The unrolled system of protection of production systems allows to react flexibly and effectively to incidents of information security, to provide steady functioning of industrial control systems, to minimize cyber-risks which can lead to negative effects for life and human health, the environment and to economic losses.

Within the project we, together with colleagues from Severstal company, managed to perform successful industrial implementing solution of a class of operational monitoring, the first in the territory of Russia, and status monitoring of security of cybersecurity of an APCS.
