For implementation of algorithms of computer vision are provided the 8-megapixel camera with support of record of video in format 4K and  Azure IoT Edge service.

Using Vision AI Developer Kit, developers will be able to create solutions based on Azure Machine Learning and to use opportunities of the hardware acceleration available on the Qualcomm Vision Intelligence platform and in the Qualcomm AI Engine components. Support of Azure services, such as machine learning, stream analytics and cognitive services (for example, Custom Vision) which can be loaded from a cloud for local start on devices, says Microsoft will be provided.

Custom Vision will work for Azure IoT Edge now, allowing such devices as drones and industrial equipment, to quickly perform crucial operations without the need for connection with a cloud. It is the first of Azure Cognitive Services supporting work on "smart" devices.

Also software giant announced start of the environment open source of Azure IoT Edge Runtime, allowing users to modify, configure applications for "smart" devices.

Cooperation with Qualcomm the Microsoft company continued active work in the market of Internet of Things in which as reported in April, 2018, is going to invest $5 billion, having trebled former expenses.[1]
