On May 21, 2018 the developer of the intellectual software Cognitive Technologies announced implementation of the intelligent system of management of scientific and technical projects (ICs UNTP) implemented at one of the Russian NITU universities the Moscow institute of steel and alloys (MISIS).
Prerequisites of the Project
In 2015 the staff of the university made the decision on replacement of the outdated automation system of activity of management of science which was focused, mainly, on automation of accounting of N controlled only the movement of finance on the agreements signed by the university in the field of scientific activity.
As a result of the carried-out market research, preference was given to the Cognitive Technologies company most of which have the competences necessary for execution of works on creation of an end-to-end system of management of scientific and technical projects.
Implementation
The solution Cognitive Technologies was implemented on a technology platform "E1 Euphrates".
One of key advantages of the IC UNTP is the possibility of effective management of the expensive scientific equipment that allows to increase significantly efficiency of its use, to reduce idle times, to completely eliminate any, the abuses connected with it.
In the IC UNTP new functionality, such as control of the scientific equipment were added.
"Management consists both in accounting of existence of this equipment, and in control of its operation, including loading and such important points as checking of this equipment and its certification, etc. that is necessary at accomplishment of government contracts. Also the functionality was expanded due to implementation of the module of "A scientific office". It allows project managers not only to see information which contains in this system, but also to enter and adjust it in process of project implementation that significantly reduced the volume of paper work and labor input at support of the project by our scientists. Now obtaining the report and introduction of necessary information does not require numerous appeals to other divisions of the university." Nikolay Panokin, chief of the department of science of NITU MISIS

A system is closely integrated with the operating 1C system the University, complementing it with new functionality.
"Actually, it is a system which contained in itself all process of carrying out scientific projects, beginning from preparation of requests of participants, an institution of cards of control of scientifically research information before unloading of report forms. All project information became available to their participants. A system allows to give summary information on difficult and long projects to which Research and Development belongs and which can last several years. Earlier this information could be obtained for weeks. Where to find it, who is engaged in it, to understand it was difficult. Now, if the user wants to learn a current status of the project, he can make it on the key press." Yulia Zolovkina, Cognitive Technologies project manager

Results
As a result of Cognitive Technologies the intelligent system automating the following processes of management of scientific and technical projects was created:
- resource management of NITU MISIS within implementation of scientific and technical activity;
- accounting of employment of scientific personnel;
- management of the staff list of scientific and technical projects;
- control of load of the laboratory equipment, maintaining schedule of accomplishment of planned works;
- creation of uniform access for scientific personnel to information of o of research/ROC / Ntupodgotovka requests for participation in competitive procedures;
- control of performance of government contracts, agreements (contracts), agreements on providing grants;
- formation of reporting documentation;
- document storage (agreements, scientific reports, documents of legal protection of RID)
and others.
