In May, 2018 the media giant Publicis Groupe announced start in group of the Marcel platform constructed based on artificial intelligence technologies and cognitive services. This solution developed by Microsoft using the products is intended for decrease in the manual work improved interaction of employees and the analysis of data bulks.
According to the press release, Marcel will define optimal schemes of interaction for 80 thousand employees of Publicis Groupe and will help to find contact in the necessary division of media group for the solution of specific business challenges. Besides, the platform will allow employees to use the cumulative knowledge accumulated in the company and to take part in life of the company. Publicis Groupe tested new models of cooperation thanks to which the staff of the company from the different countries can be engaged in one project jointly.
Microsoft created the platform and connected it to the technologies based on Microsoft Azure AI and Office 365. The technology and consulting division of Publicis Groupe — Publicis.Sapient — was responsible for architecture and design of the Marcel platform and also development of the user interface. About 200 people were involved in project implementation.
The Microsoft Knowledge Graph technology collects the structured and unstructured data from all company and is on the card of communications. He will allow to process, filter, connect and organize data.
The Marcel service is available to the staff of Publicis Groupe as mobile applications to operating systems Android and Apple iOS which accept text and voice requests. Later there will be a version for computers. The personnel of holding will get access to the platform step by step.[1]
