2018: Results of testing of a complex of processing of seismoprospecting data

Resident of Skolkovo Foundation Yandex company. The Terra (Seismotech LLC) and the Scientific and Technological Center (STC) of Gazprom Neft completed in the spring of 2018 the two-year program of testing of a complex of the domestic software for processing and interpretation of seismoprospecting data. Practical work with the selected software of Prime proved a possibility of solving of tasks of production processing and the subsequent interpretation of results of the seismic project with use only of the Russian software.

The result of processing of seismic material in the Prime system (Prime) developed by Yandex the Terra proved a gain of volume of the obtained useful geological information. Data were originally processed using foreign software that gave the chance to carry out detailed step-by-step comparison. Application of the Russian digital solution allowed to improve result qualitatively. In particular, to receive higher level of detail of the image for 20-30% exceeding the competitor's indicators. New interpretation allowed to specify seismogeological model of the field and inventory quantity and also to define the optimal system of development.

Formation of the digital platform on accomplishment of a full stroke of data analysis using only domestic solutions will become the next step of Gazprom Neft.

2016: Beginning of cooperation with Gazprom Neft

On May 10, 2016 Gazprom Neft announced cooperation with Yandeks. Terroy (Seismotech LLC) within which the companies will be engaged in joint software development for seismic exploration.

As it appears from the message of Gazprom Neft, the scientific and technological center (STC) of the company and " Yandex.Terra " signed the memorandum of  consolidation of efforts on  development of the Russian technologies and  software used for processing and  interpretation of seismoprospecting data. Joint products will be adapted for the analysis of seismogeological conditions of different regions of Russia.

Gazprom Neft and "Yandex" integrated in software development for seismic exploration

Gazprom Neft and "Yandex" are going to process jointly the seismic data obtained on production assets of the oil company. Issues of integration of the Geomeyt program (own development of "Gazpromneft of STC") into software created by partners will be studied Besides.

We already have an experience of creation of own software which with  success replaced import analogs. Our software products developed  within technology strategy  not only are actively used in  the company,  but also  is constantly improved — the head of directorate on  technologies of Gazprom Neft and the CEO of "Gazpromneft of STC" says Mars Chasanoff. — Cooperation with  " Yandex.Terra " will allow to expand our opportunities for  creation of new IT products and  to continue project implementation "Electronic development of assets".[1]
