Wrangel Island automated document flow using EDMS THESIS

On June 5, 2018 the company Haulmont reported that National park Wrangel Island purchased EDMS THESIS.

The directorate of Federal State Budgetary Institution National Park Ostrov Vrangelya is on the mainland of Russia, in the city of Pevek, and on Wrangel Island there is a remote office. The Internet — only satellite.

The management of the reserve looked for a system for exchange of documents between employees, including, working at remote office. First of all, there was a task to monitor performance of resolutions and acquaintance with documents. In addition, future system had to work effectively in the conditions of the existing infrastructure of the organization. Special attention when choosing EDMS was paid to a possibility of implementation by the customer of independent installation and setup.

As a result the customer stopped the choice on the Basic editorial office EDMS THESIS. It helps to accelerate basic processes of document flow: registration, acquaintance, approval and statement. Also it is possible to find any document in a system and to browse who and when made changes. In addition to workflow automation of EDMS THESIS allows to appoint instructions to users and to check their accomplishment.
