Europcar will begin to recognize passports and driver's licenses by means of Smart IDReader

On June 14, 2018 the Smart Engines company announced the beginning of the project on implementation of Smart IDReader technology for recognition of certifying documents in Europcar Mobility Group. The solution will be used at document creation on lease of cars and agreements with drivers.

Based on Smart IDReader service which allows to find documents on the image will be implemented and to recognize data. It is about the images received by scanning and photography. The recognized data will be used for filling of different forms at document creation in information systems of Europcar companies.

Within this service, documents of the client are scanned and transferred to an information system of Europcar company. The Smart IDReader technology implemented in a system allows to recognize data of documents and to fill forms, excludes manual entry, significantly reduces time for the procedure of order placement and minimizes potential errors at manual entry.

Under the terms of cooperation service of recognition of documents will allow to take data of the second and third pages of the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation and all types of car driver licenses operating in Russia. For convenience of users to each recognizable field of the document assessment of confidence of its recognition is shown. Time of recognition of one document on the image is less than 1 second.

Further it is going to use possibilities of Smart IDReader technology for recognition of documents in a video flow in mobile applications.
