2018: The evaluation board for Toshiba TPD420xF
On June 18, 2018 the Toshiba Electronics Europe company provided the evaluation board for the IC series of drivers of three-phase beskollektorny electric motors of a direct current (BDPT) TPD420xF released by the company. According to the developer, process of prototyping and development of new solutions on the basis of electric motors with power up to 80 W in such systems as devices of major appliances, household appliances (for example, hair dryers) and also refrigerators for fresh food in supermarkets, etc. will allow to accelerate Plath.
As noted in Toshiba company, in a series from three ICs of the BDPT drivers high-voltage PWM management is used, and for their production technology process is applied to high-voltage devices (500 / 600 V). Devices have a high integration scale and contain the driver of an upper shoulder with level shift, the driver of the lower shoulder, output MOS transistors, the power conditioner and the different systems of protection of chains, including from exceeding of current, the lowered tension and overheating. Also there is a scheme from three shunting resistors for measurement of current in a three-phase chain. TPD4204F and TPD4206F have rated current 2.5 A, and TPD4207F is expected an output current up to 5 A.
Devices are issued in the miniature SSOP30 body the sizes of 20.0 mm x 14.2 mm x 2.2 mm and support input signals of the logic level from the microcontroller or the controller of the electric motor for management of BDPT.
The evaluation board has the sizes of 100 mm x 100 mm and contains all passive components necessary for implementation of the driver of the beskollektorny direct current motor. For connection and configuring of the external driver and the electric motor there are different outputs. Also there are measuring outputs which facilitate monitoring of forms of fluctuations of the main tension that allows designers to keep track precisely of efficiency of the created projects, noted in Toshiba.
