On June 26, 2018 the Ant Technologies Company announced project completion of implementation of WMS Logistics Vision Suite in a warehouse of retail network of auto parts.
Within development of the company, increase in efficiency of activity, creation of the principles of rendering convenience to clients upon purchase of products of "LANTIS" made the decision on replacement with the existing WMS by a flexible and high-performance system for a warehouse with a possibility of independent setup and the subsequent development. The Ant Technologies company won the tender for implementation of WMS of the Logistics Vision Suite (LVS) system in the warehouse "LANTIS".
Main characteristics of a warehouse: class A, the area of 10,000 sq.m., storage it is organized on racks, the mezzanine, on a floor, street in pallets. For acceptance and shipment of goods 22 gate are used. The warehouse works round the clock 7 days a week in the high-intensity mode.
As a result of automation of a warehouse WMS-sistema Logistics Vision Suite PLUS on 40 jobs was implemented, equipment is made by data collection terminals of Motorola, label Zebra printers.
Tuning of processes in a system is performed according to the logic of work of a warehouse, taking into account use of a large number of the nomenclature in the reference book of goods and a big variety of units of measure.
The warehouse works on wireless technology based on barcoding with simultaneous use of paper technology.
In case of receipt of products without barcode additional processing is executed: marking, packaging, check.
Processes of reservation and replenishment are implemented using multiple parameter algorithms at which setup the ability to manage by them at the level of goods, documents, owners of goods, etc. was put.
At placement of goods the unique algorithms considering fullness of zones, substitution of the existing outstanding tasks of replenishment, volume characteristics of cells, weight and dimensional characteristics of goods are used. Placement of goods is executed in the two-step mode.
For selection the technology of "multipiking" which gives an opportunity to the selector to make selection according to several lists without sorting that time of selection allows to seduce significantly and to increase labor productivity is implemented.
For accomplishment of orders of online store "blind (wave) selection" which is made by the grouped orders with the subsequent sorting (a method of blind sorting) is implemented. In the latter case the selector for one approach to a cell selects necessary goods quantity for several account orders, united in a wave, which then are scanned and decomposed by orders. A system completely automates assembly, specifying what goods and where it is necessary to put. Such process allows to lower significantly an assembly time of orders for online store.
Application of a warehouse management system of Logistics Vision Suite PLUS allows to increase capacity of a warehouse, to increase efficiency of its work, at the same time to reduce costs of the warehouse enterprise.
The implementation project of WMS Logistics Vision Suite PLUS includes several grade levels of employees of a warehouse to work and administration of a system that allowed personnel to get to work with a system at once after start of the implemented solution in operation.
We are satisfied with the team of specialists of Ant Technologies done by work and we are positive for results of implementation of Logistics Vision Suite. We managed to increase the speed of assembly of orders and to reduce quantity of errors in work of personnel. The possibility of independent adaptation of the program under our current demands allows us to react to the fast-changing operating conditions of the market of auto parts quickly.
