2018: Announcement of an ultrasonography system

On June 21, 2018 submitted to Siemens Healthiners the new ultrasonic Acuson Sequoia system. A system was developed as the solution of one of the most widespread problems in ultrasonography diagnostics — inspection of patients with obesity. Thanks to a new feature of Deep Abdominal Transducer (DAX), powerful architecture and the innovation updates for an elastografiya the presented solution provides penetration of a signal on depth to 40 cm.

The Acuson Sequoia system considers bioacoustic variations of each patient - it is characteristics, the including fabric density, rigidity and capability to absorption of a signal. A system provides visualization of fabrics with high resolution in all viewing field. Thus, the specialist does not need to adjust a focal point of the scanner, and it accelerates a research without loss of quality. Besides, a new system provides color Doppler mapping of a blood-groove with high resolution, sensitivity and deep penetration (is on average 20% higher, than at other systems).

Siemens Acuson Sequoia ultrasonography system

Doctors use an ultrasonic elastografiya of a liver for determination of rigidity of fabric which can correlate with a progression of a chronic disease, however at patients with obesity this research can be complicated. Acuson Sequoia generates cross BONDS waves with the power consumption, by 6 times exceeding normal that allows to visualize even very deeply located fabrics and to carry out an adequate elastografiya.

The subjectivity of results which depend on the doctor and the used device is considered one of shortcomings of ultrasonography.  With Siemens Healthiners involved more than 300 specialists and held 170 seminars on elimination of variability of the ultrasonography images for creation of the Acuson Sequoia platform. Thanks to sensors of recognition of the gestures activated by touch, the automated protocols and the simplified registration of a signal of Acuson Sequoia minimizes variability of results of a research.[1]
