2021: Distributor VR Training Results
On February 16, 2021, it became known that G-Energy Academy, which implements the educational programs of Gazpromneft Lubricants, set up a trajectory for comprehensive remote training and certification of employees of distributors and partners. The project combines electronic tools and VR technologies in one GEA-Links application, which runs on a platform for the development and management of VR/AR/3D ISP solutions provided by Modum Lab.
As reported, analysis of training results showed that more than 70% of participants assessed the effectiveness of obtaining knowledge and skills using VR technology. The participants of the project were specialists of a dozen different companies engaged in the supply of transport and industrial enterprises of the country with lubricants. In total, G-Energy Academy has more than 700 students, 200 of whom have completed the VR course.
For three weeks, lubricant experts from 85 regions of Russia underwent comprehensive training, including webinars, video courses and case solving on VR simulators, as well as subsequent control of the knowledge gained.
Using the VR course, specialists trained skills in merchandising and the technique of sampling motor oils for large industrial enterprises.
Sampling of operating oils is performed for predictive diagnostics of equipment and correct selection of lubricants. By the composition of the operating oil, the specialist can determine equipment malfunctions, the risks of its failure, as well as adjust the intervals of oil replacement.
Classes for specialists were conducted using VR simulators. These tools allow you to undergo individual training an unlimited number of times without the need to organize group training.
Gazprom Oil and Lubricants products as of February 2021 are sold in 86 countries. In the conditions of such a wide geography for us, work with partners has long moved to digital formats. Earlier, we already conducted a VR acquaintance with the production of motor oils for distributors, thanks to which they were able to visit the lubricant plant and get acquainted with technological processes. Interactive VR simulators, which we created together with Modum Lab experts, have become a relevant tool in promoting uniform service standards despite borders and language barriers. noted Lutchenkova Victoria, head of G-Energy Academy |
In post-training surveys, 72% of participants rated 5 out of 5 for ease of information perception, and also noted the effectiveness of the tool for independently developing the necessary skills.
About 40% of respondents who were trained in the VR helmet noted that they did not have any technical difficulties when using the equipment, and 31% of participants who could not navigate independently quickly resolved issues using instructions or technical support.
We have long been cooperating with colleagues from Gazpromneft Lubricants and are glad that together we managed to implement the first comprehensive project, which includes not only the usual mobile training for everyone, but also skill VR simulators. said Dmitry Kirillov, president of Modum Lab |
The ISP (Immersive Simulations Platform) allows you to use classic and immersive training formats, integrates with third-party services, and allows you to create a trajectory for training specialists. Supports work on different types of devices: web, mobile, VR. The system allows you to standardize training, combine different educational formats, reduce the resources of mentors and automate the assessment of specialists. With the capabilities of the platform, the customer's specialists can independently create various comprehensive trajectories and tools for training their employees, changing formats and content depending on the tasks.
2018: A pilot project to create digital education programs using immersive technologies
On July 4, 2018, Gazpromneft - Lubricants announced the launch, in partnership with HTC and Modum LAB, of a pilot project to create digital educational programs using immersive technologies that provide the full effect of presence in a virtual environment. In the first year of the program, it is planned to train about 12 thousand specialists of partner companies and distributors of Gazpromneft-SM products. The company invests in the project over 20 million rubles.
As part of the joint project, 3D training programs will be developed and implemented, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the learning environment and focus on the educational process as much as possible. Accurate digital models of production facilities will be created for effective remote training and development of staff competencies of partner and distribution companies. Using virtual reality technology, employees will be able to work out algorithms for actions in typical situations, such as customer service at G-Energy Service stations, consulting and technical support.
The implementation of the project will be carried out on the basis of the own educational center of Gazpromneft-lubricants - G-Energy Academy, which trains specialists in the sales of lubricants of the company's own brands.
"Our company has built high-tech production, and now we are systematically increasing the competence of our distribution network. To this end, we are developing educational projects. It is important that our partners in any country of the world have access to the G-Energy Academy knowledge base. The virtual environment allows us to significantly reduce the time and cost of training, while increasing its efficiency many times. " Alexander Trukhan, CEO of Gazpromneft - Lubricants |
"Companies looking to create and offer innovative, efficient and competitive products on the global market have a chance of development and financial longevity. Such companies need non-standard solutions, such as immersive technologies that help model various stages of production processes and thus raise the service for the end user to the maximum level. Today's business relies on the latest technologies not only for direct product creation, but also for improving other business processes, as they save material resources, the time it takes to quickly develop and market new products. " Dmitry Morozov, co-founder of ModumLAB |
