The BELAZ and SAP will develop scenarios of "the digital double" of the dump truck and "a digital pit" for mining companies

On July 9, 2018 JSC BELAZ company together with SAP CIS announced that will be engaged in project development of the intelligent industrial solutions connected with providing technological services to clients of the BELAZ based on cloud computing, machine learning, artificial intelligence and also projects on digital transformation of internal business processes of the company.

In particular, the companies intend to develop for clients of the BELAZ the application for collecting of telemetered informations which will allow to implement the concept of "the digital double" of the dump truck and also to create intelligent systems of "a digital pit" for mining companies. Besides, BELAZ within cooperation with SAP is going to implement at itself business systems for maintenance of internal processes of planning and production management of finished goods and semi-finished products, management of production costs and quality, including due to migration of the operating ERP system on in-memory the HANA platform.

The BELAZ works several years on pilotless technologies so our cooperation is a logical step on development of the innovative solutions. Digital control by assets will help the BELAZ with real time to update and trace data on the movement and operation of the equipment. Thanks to it the producer will be able to improve scenarios of work with mining companies and to change a business model of customer interaction in general. The dump trucks released by us are equipped in hundreds of sensors generating a year information terabytes in real time that allows us to keep track of quality of work of the dump truck in an every spot on the globe. Collected data, predictive analytics and machine learning technologies will allow us to provide already in the near future to our clients absolutely new intellectual services for increase in efficiency of operation of dump trucks, predictive analytics and transition to service not according to regulations, and on demand.
