History

2017: Revenue - almost 130 billion rubles

In 2017, the Russian copper company received almost 130 billion rubles of revenue. This is 6% more than the result of 2016. Net profit for the reporting period remained at the level of 2016 and amounted to 16.2 billion rubles.

At the end of 2017, RMK enterprises produced a total of over 183 thousand tons of cathodes and 104 thousand tons of copper rod. Growth in relation to the results of the 2016 year amounted to 3% for cathodes, 4% for katanka.

During the reporting period, copper production in copper concentrate decreased by 4% and amounted to 146.9 thousand tons, zinc production in zinc concentrate increased by 28% and reached 68.7 thousand tons. In addition, in 2017, gold and silver production in ingots increased by 27% and 4%, respectively. At the end of last year, RMK produced 4 tons of gold and more than 76 tons of silver.

2011: Ruslan Baisarov - shareholder of RMK with a share of 20%

Russian businessman Ruslan Baysarov became a shareholder in the company with a share of 20%. The Interfax agency, based on its sources, reported that this package cost the businessman $500 million, analysts disagreed - from $300 million to $800 million. According to Baysarov, this is a "strategic" investment for him, taking into account the projected deficit of this metal in the world for the next decade.

2010

Share in copper production in Russia - 18%

According to the information for 2010, the company ranks third in Russia in terms of production of cathode copper and second in terms of production of copper wire. The share in copper production in Russia reaches 18%, the share of the global copper production market is about 1%.

For 2010, the Russian Copper Company unites eight mining and metallurgical enterprises and a trading company, as well as several new mining projects. RMK carries out activities in Russia (in the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Orenburg, Novgorod, Amur regions, Altai Territory and the Republic of Dagestan) and in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

RMK is included in the list of systemically forming enterprises of the Russian Federation, is the largest employer in the Ural region. In 2010, the number of employees of the company is about 7 thousand people.
