X5 Retail Group integrated Oracle Cloud at Customer into the IT infrastructure

On July 11, 2018 it became known that X5 Retail Group which part supermarket chains are "Intersection", Pyaterochka and Roundabout, completed the project on integration cloud of services Oracle Cloud at Customer into IT infrastructure the companies.

The company expanded the infrastructure using a cloud of Oracle placed in data center of the company in the protected environment.

X5 Retail Group uses a broad spectrum of technologies of Oracle for data management. Functions of automation Oracle Cloud at Customer for fast providing IaaS services allow the company to increase efficiency of selection of IT resources. Cloud services of Oracle are used in the company for testing and application development, fast deployment of additional environments and analytics.

X5 Retail Group uses cloud services of Oracle in the DPC

As explained in Oracle, advantages of cloud model in general and the specific solution in particular which use allows to observe internal requirements of the retailer in the field of information security support and also requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation regarding data storage became the basis for the choice of the solution "Cloud at the Client". The model of providing cloud services according to the concept of Cloud at Customer allowed the customer to pass to more profitable OPEX model of payment for a number of systems, when preserving processing and storage of business data in^[1].
