National academy of ground forces of a name of the hetman Pyotr Sagaydachny — one of educational institutions in the system of military education of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. Is engaged in release of officers of ground forces.
For 2018 in Academy perform training of officers on specialties: management of divisions of the mechanized troops, management of divisions tank, management of airmobile troops of divisions, management of special purpose divisions and army investigation, management of land artillery of divisions, management of rocket troops of divisions, management of artillery investigation of divisions, rocket and artillery arms, cars and automobile economy, physical training, cultural science, journalism (the last release of 2010), musical art.
Assets
For July, 2018 in Academy four faculties work:
- Faculty of fighting use of troops
- Faculty of airmobile troops
- Faculty of rocket troops and artillery
- Faculty of training of specialists on providing troops.
Also the Military college of non-commissioned officer's structure which trains junior specialists on repair and service of automotive vehicles, chiefs of warehouses of different orientations and also musicians of military orchestras is a part of Academy.
Cadets undergo military practice on the International center of peacemaking and security.
At institute the cult construction of the Austrian period, nowadays Archangel Michael Church is recovered (UGKTs belongs).
History
2009
The government of Ukraine admitted the resolution on reforming of an institution to Academy of ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
2005
The educational institution is reorganized into the Lviv institute of Ground forces and since September 1, 2006 performs training of military specialists in all specialties of Ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
1997
Organization received the status of Military institute.

The Lviv military-political school is transformed to the highest
1947
The school was relocated to Lviv and becomes the Lviv military-political school (some time bore a name of Nikolay Shchors)
