2023: Organization of video conferencing for the NAUKA 0 + Festival

In October 2023, the Vinteo solution was used at the venues of the XVIII All-Russian NAUKA 0 + festival to organize video conferencing sessions (VKS).

2018: Acquisition of 10 licenses for the Vinteo software server

On July 11, 2018, the company Vinteo announced that the Center for the Development of Electronic Educational Resources Lomonosov Moscow State University acquired the software server video conferencings company of the Russian company Vinteo for 10 licenses. The system integrator was a company TeCONF that supplied a hardware server and provided comprehensive advisory support. From the moment the contract was concluded to a full-fledged video conference, one month passed, while Vinteo specialists put the solution into operation in just three days.

As reported, the customer was faced with the task of expanding and modernizing the existing VKS network based on a ten-year-old server LifeSize , as well as organizing remote reception of exams from students. At the same time, the videoconferencing server was supposed to ensure full compatibility with the LifeSize production solutions already installed at Moscow State University Cisco,/, and Tandberg Polycom realize the opportunity to participate in conferences through modern ones at browsers various operating systems -,,. With the assistance of TeCONF employees, comparative testing of modern domestic products was carried out, as a result of which the customer chose the Vinteo solution as the videoconferencing core. At MSU, the Vinteo video core is installed on a Dell T630 server with one processor and two professional NVIDIA Quadro graphics cards. The server has great possibilities for subsequent scaling. As the customer needs grow, it will be possible to add another processor and two video cards, and thereby at least double the port capacity without replacing the equipment.

Our company has been cooperating with Moscow State University in the context of video conferencing for about two years, so we are well acquainted with the needs of this customer. In this case, it was necessary to choose a solution that would provide the university with all modern video conferencing capabilities, while it would correspond to the customer's budget and guarantee the possibility of subsequent expansion and modernization of the VKS network without replacing the hardware.

According to representatives of Vinteo, the video conferencing system will be regularly used at Moscow State University not only for organizing the educational process, but also for holding major events, including international ones. Also, the Vinteo video conferencing server will be involved in the University Saturdays project. In the future, the customer plans to increase the number of licenses for the Vinteo VKS server. The capabilities of the Vinteo platform also allow it to be integrated with the Moodle open source distance learning environment.
