2018: Announcement of a product

In June, 2018 Canon Medical showed the device for magnetic resonance imaging 3T MR System intended for the deep analysis of anatomy of a brain. The device with support ultrahigh permission is shown at the annual ISMRM-ESMRMB 2018 Joint Annual Meeting conference in Paris.

Professor Vincent Dousset from University of Bordeaux 1 reported that use of this system will allow to increase space resolution capability of neurologic researches and to lower noise interferences.

Canon provided a MRT-system for the deep analysis of anatomy of a brain

The representative of Canon company Gavin Buffet explained that permission of a new MRT-system will allow to estimate deeply lying anatomical structures of the central nervous system, such as hippocampus and also to investigate a brain microstructure. Removal of artifacts and more accurate differentiation between white and gray substance will promote faster and exact diagnostics of neurologic defeats, Buffet considers.

According to representatives of Canon, a new system has the highest amplitude of a gradient - 100 mt/m at 200 T/m / page. A system provides the high speed of carrying out MRT of all body that increases satisfaction of doctors and patients and also performance in general. The equipment is also equipped with technology of deep learning on the basis of artificial intelligence which was developed in cooperation with the University of Kumamoto (Japan) and University of Bordeaux 1 (France). The system of deep learning is capable to reconstruct detailed images with high resolution on the basis of pictures of the Canon 3T MR System system which are comparable with the images received using system 7T MPT.

Similar characteristics will allow the doctors using a new system to participate in the Human Connectome project sponsored by the pharmaceutical companies or in clinical trials of the Ministry of Health which require the better system specifications usually not characteristic of MRT-devices.[1]
