ISBC: Autonomous system of control and management of journey of cars

Autonomous system of control and management of journey of cars: contactless identification of the car and opening of a barrier (gate). Operation of the equipment does not require neither computers, nor servers, the equipment works independently, on in advance made settings. Identification of cars is performed by the principle " / others". Under approval setup of the equipment of RFID can be made free of charge at office of ISBC company even before sending.

2018: Composition of control and management of journey of cars. Principle of work

For July, 2018 a system on the basis of MAX.U1002-UHF is a hardware-software complex and consists of the following principal components:

  • The MAX.U1002-UHF controller, one or two antennas – are intended for monitoring of the cars passing in an area of coverage
  • Tags of radio frequency identification which equip cars and which are issued to people
  • Software of OBID MyAXXESS Manager (setup of the table of access, time zones)

Identifiers are contactless tags of radio frequency identification (RFID) which unambiguously define the specific car or the person driving the car. The tag has neither the battery, nor the accumulator, the term of its operation is almost not limited. On the basis of data analysis of a RFID tag there is a management of barriers, gate or other barriers. Range of detection of a tag is configured programmatically and can leave from 0.5 to 10 meters that for the majority of tasks of the organization of journey more than it is enough. The MAX.U1002 RFID controller of production of the German company Feig Electronic GmbH, one or two RFID antennas and RFID tags which serve as identifiers of the car is composition.

The ID.MAX.U1002 device can be used on different objects where it is required to provide management of barriers, gate or other barriers automatically, based on identification of the vehicle or the driver. MAX.U1002-UHF works in a standalone mode without the need for connection to the computer or other host. It is optionally supplied with a casing pylevlagozashchitny IP64, however is established in a wiring cabinet more often (in a thermocabinet) or it is mounted in close check point.

About tags of RFID

The applied tags of radio frequency identification (RFID) are passive, do not require batteries, accumulators or other integral elements of a power supply. Frequency of work of tags 860-960 MHz, tags conform to international standard ISO18000-6 EPC Class1 Gen2. For the systems of journey the following types of tags are recommended:

  • Tag of radio frequency identification for fastening on a car windshield.
  • The card of radio frequency identification (in a form factor of the bank card), is issued to the driver.

Feig Electronic LRU1002 supports tags with the open code of a tag (normal tags of the EPC Class1 Gen2 UHF standard), but also the tags protected from a read and write:

  • with the tags password-protected by Access Password (protection of a tag against cloning)
  • with the tags having cryptographic information protection (UCODE DNA of NXP company), these tags have the high degree of protection comparable with protection of bank cards. The data coded on a tag are hidden from a read and write.

About the principle of work

The MAX.U1002-UHF controller is placed near a barrier (gate or other barriers) which it manages. 1 or 2 antennas which make permanent monitoring of tags are connected to it. As soon as the RFID tag gets to an antenna action field, there is its identification and determination of access rights. If journey is resolved the car with this tag, the RFID reader opens a barrier.

The device has two digital ports like optocoupler, can manage one or two barriers (it can be optionally delivered external relays which can switch current up to 1 A with tension to 100 V). In figure No. 1 the typical circuit of arrangement of antennas at the organization of journey is provided.

Car RFID tag (on the example of machine No. 1), getting to an antenna action field, answers instantly, the data coded in her memory are transferred to MAX.U1002-UHF where access rights are checked. As soon as the tag answered (on the example of machine No. 2) and it has access rights, journey is resolved and the barrier opens. Reach of the antenna is configured programmatically and, as a rule, makes from 0.5 to 10 meters. The span angle of the antenna makes 65 degrees. The visibility range of tags is configured by turn of the antenna in that direction where presumably passes the car. Apparently, machine No. 3 is out of an area of coverage of the antenna and a system does not react to a tag of this car.
