Experts note that the new companies, as a rule, do not think of hybrids. They incline or to it at once - premis-ideologies, or to cloud model.

Why this model is so popular today

Popularity of hybrids – rather debatable question. On the one hand, this model is rather widely discussed and is quite often offered by providers. Another thing is that so far there is not a lot of real successful cases.

Financial and technology pluses such: hybrid circuits it is significantly more profitable, in comparison with maintenance of the outdated systems or creation from scratch than own DPCs and development of completely internal infrastructure. But in comparison with application development in 12-factor model with cloud support – probably, no. But the hybrid is good when the compromise is necessary, – Nikita Dergilev considers.

In the western countries the popularity of hybrid clouds declines in recent years. It is connected with development of other technologies which meet business needs more. For example, multiklaudny approach or Cloud 2.0. However in the Russian realities all this still very topical issue, and investments into it will come to an extent of at least several years.

Project of creation of a hybrid cloud: main stages, terms, cost

Implementation of a hybrid cloud is a full project which includes all standard project stages. Among them – a research, a formulation of a task, determination of criteria which need to be reached the specific company, financial justification of need of implementation, cost determination of works and so on. At the same time the initiative about transition to this model almost never proceeds from the company.

Customers extremely seldom address us with the idea of implementation of hybrid clouds. It is connected with the fact that it is rather difficult architectural project. Here more likely on the contrary: the customer comes with some task which needs to be solved, and during the solution the group of architects estimates the project and offers a hybrid as a way out, – Nikita Dergilev tells.

After that the design stage and preparation of the specific solution follows. Then piloting is carried out for what the small zone in the company to which separate services are transferred is created and the operability of future system is rolled. After business approves results of a pilot part, there is a design of migration and scaling of a hybrid on all company. If the project small and the company has well trained IT personnel, then all implementation can take place for several weeks. If the project difficult and global, can occupy it before half a year or even more. Especially, if it is about compliance to additional regulatory requirements or the principles of security or if it is necessary to provide training of employees of the customer.

How to ensure information security of hybrid architecture

Question of reliability of hybrids as experts speak, more philosophical or even ideological. Many companies really do not trust all new and external, and therefore try to store data inside and to provide their integrity independently.

There are companies which are able to afford to contain enough specialists of the high level that their own security was not worse, than what the provider can offer, – Nikita Dergilev notes. – But in most cases business or cannot afford it, or does not pay it sufficient attention. To us as to serious cloud provider, without fail it is necessary to observe all procedures for cybersecurity, undergoes certification, to constantly train personnel and to check our business processes for compliance to all regulations. For us an incident on cybersecurity is a most serious reputational risk therefore we always on the alert.

It is important to understand: that the cloud was safe, it is necessary that there were safe also applications placed in it. If competences are not enough for it, or there are some limiting factors, then hybrids really can be more useful than other cloud models.

Examples of widespread business cases for hybrid clouds

Implementation of hybrid clouds in the Pension fund became the most interesting of in-Russian cases. Within this project based on Technoserv company computing and telecommunication infrastructure was created and provided for ensuring operability [1] of the Single State Information System of Social Security (SSISSS) which allows residents of Russia in lease and to state agencies to receive data on measures of social support. All off-budget funds, federal authorities and subjects of the country will be connected to infrastructure this year.

At the first stage specialists of Technoserv created, configured and provided in lease to the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation completely ready IT infrastructure of EGISSO with the mounted equipment and the preset system software. The staff of Technoserv conducts support and administration of this software on a permanent basis.

At the second stage in 2018 the integrator creates, configures and provides RPF in lease computing infrastructure of the distributed reservation of EGISSO. Now infrastructure is provided to the Pension fund on the IaaS model.

The subsystem of information security support of EGISSO was separately put into operation. Neutralization of relevant security risks of information and providing a full compliance to requirements of the legislation of the country imposed to protection of the state information systems and personal data information systems became its basic functions.
