Scanex Maritime Electronic navigation charts

The Electronic Navigation Charts service is the first partner service on the web platform of the sea portal "Scanex Maritime". His developer — the S-MAR international group.

SCANEX Group and Kruiz LLC (C-MAP Russia) signed in the summer of 2018 the partnership agreement which allows to provide to users of the Scanex Maritime portal access to a global covering of electronic navigation charts in the form of a continuous cartographic basis of taylovy service worldwide. SCANEX uses electronic cards in the services as a substrate (an additional information layer). Electronic cards can be provided also in the form of independent service.

The service allows to carry out the analysis of navigation features of navigation, to reveal violations of pass by courts of the prohibited sea zones. It provides up-to-date information about bathymetry of a bottom for identification of dangerous sections of navigation and other productive activity. With its help it is possible to make creation of derivative products of the combined analysis of space shooting and these electronic navigation charts: reveal patterns between surface and underwater parameters of the water area, define reliable routes of swimming in conditions of an ice situation, reveal the visual nature of display of sea reference points, etc.

Key features of Electronic Navigation Charts service on the Scanex Maritime web platform:

  • all cards are presented in the form of a uniform seamless covering of all sea water areas of the world that improves perception and information analysis;
  • the support of open standards of the interface providing data integration into an information system of the customer;
  • a possibility of use of the web GIS "SCANEX" for viewing and the analysis of electronic cards and the accompanying layers of data;
  • presence of own staff of experts who can be involved in accomplishment of analytical tasks;
  • an opportunity to order separate layers and data sets of electronic cards in geoinformation formats from the supplier of data;
  • service can be provided in the form of REST API and webGIS GeoMixer.

The Electronic Navigation Charts service is the twelfth service for the sea industry started in 2018 based on the sea portal "Scanex Maritime".
