Microsoft application  of Whiteboard  represents virtual delivery for joint work with different graphic and text documents. On a digital canvas the staff of the companies and also pupils together with teachers can draw, attach notes and images from the Internet. 

In Whiteboard function of "smart" ink is implemented: it will automatically transform schematic sketches to figures of a free form, allowing it is easy to create tables, charts and flowcharts. Input as by means of gestures, and the stylus is supported.

The status of white boards remains automatically: users can continue at any time from that place where stopped, or to share the link with others.

2018: Emergence in a public access

On July 12, 2018 the Microsoft company announced emergence in a public access of the Whiteboard application. About seven months it was at a beta testing stage.

The first users of the Windows 10 operating system had an opportunity to set the final version of Whiteboard. In Microsoft promised to start in short terms the web version of service (with support of all most popular browsers) and also the client for iOS - and Android devices.

Any who downloaded Whiteboard can quickly organize joint work with other users. Similar function is implemented for the companies and educational institutions: for this purpose the organization needs to have a commercial subscription of Office 365 or a special account for educational institutions.

Microsoft released the application for joint work with graphic documents

Microsoft is going to integrate Whiteboard with the corporate Teams messenger and also to release the version for the application for the office monoblock of Microsoft Surface Hub.[1]

2017: Beginning of testing

At the end of 2017 Microsoft announced the beginning of testing of Whiteboard. Developments of Intentional Software company which Microsoft purchased the same year were the basis for a product.
