Products of "The code of security" ensured information security of the FIFA World Cup in Russia

On July 16, 2018 the Code of Security company reported that solutions of the company formed the basis of a system of information security support at stadiums of the FIFA World Cup FIFA 2018 in Russia. A system using products of the company protected the main objects of IT infrastructure on 7 football arenas: in Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Samara and Saransk.

The customer – Federal State Unitary Enterprise Sport-Engineering – was faced by a task to create the system allowing to provide a comprehensive protection of infrastructure: data transmission channels, workstations and virtual environment. Such system is necessary to prevent unauthorized access to information and to provide stability of work of technology processes of its processing.

Full range of works on creation of a system of information security support executed Federal State Unitary Enterprise Gamma Scientific and Production Enterprise.

Existence of current licenses of FSB of Russia and FSTEC of Russia as it was required to integrate the created information security system with external information systems of FIFA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, FSB of Russia, Bezopasny gorod agrarian and industrial Complex, etc. was one of key conditions when choosing vendor. Also it was necessary to provide preserving of an ability to manage processing and uses of information even in the conditions of attempts of unauthorized impact on it.

During the project the end-to-end system of information security providing implementation of all necessary measures for data protection according to requirements of regulating documents was created.

For protection of data transmission channels the product family of APKSh "Continent" ensuring network security and preventing risk of the attacks of malefactors was used. The complex product Secret Net Studio protecting the PC at the level of data, applications, network, the operating system and peripheral equipment and also a HSS Sable, providing a trusted boot of computers was applied to protection of workstations. Security of the environment of virtualization was implemented using the product vGate allowing to provide control of virtual devices and components and also integrity of data and their protection.

Federal State Unitary Enterprise Sport-Engineering also noted that the created product-based system of the Russian vendor works steadily and without complaints.

Separately, the customer noted that during the World Cup nearly 25 million cyber attacks and other criminal impacts on the information infrastructure of Russia anyway connected with holding the FIFA World Cup are neutralized.
