The IoT-solution for monitoring of industrial facilities represents the web portal integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Online and with the microcontrollers installed on the equipment.

2018: Development

On July 11, 2018 the WaveAccess company announced solution development for the centralized condition monitoring of industrial facilities. The developed system allows to automate uninterrupted transfer and storage of data on each of objects and their web display. Using the solution engineers can monitor a status of the industrial systems through "single window" and can quickly react to failures in operation of devices.

The solution Microsoft Dynamics 365 Online acted as a program and administrative part of the solution. The CRM system is used, including, for collecting and data storage. The .NET-portal is developed for their display — it serves as "single window" for work, in real time showing all objects on controlled buildings and their status. Microcontrollers always online — data are displaid on the online map: having clicked on the necessary object, the engineer receives all parts on it. It is not required to refresh the page — it automatically reboots if the status of the controller changed, representing a current status of all objects and alarms in case of violations in work of systems.

To remove indicators from microcontrollers and to transfer them in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Online, SyncIT — own integration WaveAccess platform is used. SyncIT is connected to the CRM system, receives the list of controllers, reads out from them data and writes in CRM. For placement of the web portal and deployment of SyncIT the virtual Microsoft Azure workstation was used.

It is easy to connect the new equipment to a monitoring system: it is enough to add the IP device to the CRM system through a configuration — it instantly will appear on the card, and its data will begin to come to CRM. Such concept allows to develop a system without restrictions, developers emphasized.

In case of accident or emergence of an error in operation of the device a problem object is marked on the map. The alarm works in the online mode, updating of the page is not required. False alarms are excluded: within the first several seconds failure is considered insignificant — about it the notification which turns into an alarm, only comes if the next several polls of a system confirm it. If after all violation in operation of the equipment is revealed, the engineer can order in one click its repair from the web application.

The user can create in the web portal specific reports (chemical analysis, the bacterial analysis, etc.) on any object for the necessary time frame, to export them to Excel and PDF and even to configure their sending for mail. We developed two types of the interface for data visualization: one provides data in the form of pie charts, another – in the form of tables. The online map of objects is available on both UI — Sergey Gusev, the head CRM experts of WaveAccess told.
