2018
On October 22, 2018 the Integro Technologies company entering into RAMAKS Group announced project completion on development and deployment of a system of the publication and management of external services of PJSC Aeroflot based on the solution IBM API Connect for PJSC Aeroflot.
Approach of the industry 4.0 accelerated digitalization of an aviation industry and transfer of services for passengers in a digital medium. The main priorities of such development ― personalisation and automation of services, optimization of information exchange that as a result increases convenience and the service level of clients.
Crucial element for effective integration of services of airline is use of open interfaces – API allowing to provide receiving and information transfer between external information systems by means of standard data exchange protocols.
Open API allow to create with the minimum costs channels for information exchange and sale of products, to simplify integration with partner networks and to help with entry into other markets and to penetration into the developing segments, to sell to clients modern services and services.
For the purpose of increase in performance excellence of processes of data exchange by reduction of unproductive and duplicative transactions, optimization of information exchange of participants of processes PJSC Aeroflot implemented the system of the solution of integration tasks by the automated method based on the solution IBM API Connect.
Result of accomplishment of all works – optimization and increase in process performance of data exchange in PJSC Aeroflot and, as a result, an economic benefit from reduction of quantity of resources for their implementation.
The basis of the solution was formed by an automated system of API Connect based on IBM API CONNECT ENTERPRISE and the specialized hardware and software system IBM DataPower.
A system provided an ability to manage with all four aspects of lifecycle of the API interface for local and cloud environments: creation, accomplishment, management and protection. It made the project more profitable, than partial solutions which are focused only at some stages of lifecycle and can totally as a set of components to have higher cost. Kirill Bogdanov, CIO of PJSC Aeroflot

The information system IBM API Connect is intended for the organization of uniform point of entry for all external services and applications of Aeroflot and also for access control to services from one location. A system allows to manage quickly access of external applications to service, to provide primary validation of requests from external systems for the purpose of restriction of incorrect requests and by that to lower loads of services of Aeroflot, having provided a possibility of transformation of requests. As a result of implementation of IBM API Connect Aeroflot received the effective automated mechanisms for management of external services. Use of the transport system based on IBM MQ allowed to consolidate work of online armoring and the associated external services, having increased the speed, flexibility and reliability of work of the information systems focused on work with clients.
2017
On July 20, 2018 it became known that the end of 2017 Aeroflot unrolled the platform on work with customer appeals. The company implemented for this purpose algorithms of predictive analytics of Big Data. As DBMS domestic development – the solution Tarantool of Mail.Ru Group company was used. The project was executed by the Integro Technologies company entering into RAMAKS Group.
The complex consists of a large number of modules which cover both functional business requirements, and modules of integration into the existing IT infrastructure of PJSC Aeroflot and different channels of receipt of addresses (social networks, e-mail, official site, personal account).
The first system module is engaged in process of identification of the client on the basis of complex data analysis as text (including, comments), and open data of a profile of the author (the Full Name, e-mail, phone, etc.). The amount of the processed data from different sources is equal to several thousand addresses a day.
The second module is responsible for search of doubles of addresses. Quite often users copy the text and publish it on different resources, including, direct by e-mail. It is important to define semantic similar posts for identification of clusters which are incidents. Processing of several posts significantly reduces at once loading of responsibles.
The third module 'Newsmakers' in real time is engaged in the analysis of a flow of text data (publications, comments). There is a semantic analysis of posts, creation of communications of words and groups of words (n-grams) to the subsequent imposing on a time series and also search and aggregation of newsmakers. The algorithm is designed to show the peaks of activity on social networks or its growth that can indicate potential "info bomb". One of opportunities of this module - prediktivno to reveal dangerous posts still before growth of activity begins.
The amount of data necessary for the listed system modules goes beyond a usual limit of local storage in the application. The settlement number of addressing data equaled to several thousand requests per second with a necessary response in couple of milliseconds. Difficulties to development added such requirements as, for example, the registered time constraint in three seconds on enrichment of the address different properties.
Having carried out the analysis of the existing DB in the market, the client stopped the choice on Tarantool DBMS by a number of criteria:
- providing a full-fledged environment and tool kit for implementation of resource-intensive computing logic in the DB;
- support of equivalence of servers and the balanced distribution of data for providing the high level of fault tolerance and optimal use of the server hardware;
- use of the mechanism of compact data storage in memory;
- low hardware requirements;
- the free functionality allowing to cut down seriously equipment expenses and licenses;
- existence of a guarantee of safety of data.
Use of domestic software so the selected platform met requirements in all respects was one of key wishes of the customer.
Tarantool is used in the Platform as an operational DB in which addresses are stored in a type of the special data structures necessary for analytics algorithms. Extremely high performance and existence in base of such properties as secondary indexes and support big the number of connections without performance penalty, allowed to implement successfully the above described functional modules, without going beyond the delivered time frames.
Based on implementation the customer using the Platform considerably increased efficiency of processing of complaints and customer appeals by responsibles of PJSC Aeroflot, cardinally reduced delivery time of the address and time for the processing/solution of a question at the expense of mechanisms of enrichment of the address a context, tonality, subjects (tagging), the author's profile, etc. All this is aimed at achievement of positive economic and reputation effect practically at all stages of provision of services of PJSC Aeroflot. On the basis of successful experience all project participants will continue to use Tarantool software in the projects and to strengthen partnership.
