Sigma Medical Supplies

Sigma Medical Supplies is the Taiwanese company which is engaged in production of packing materials, products of medical appointment, biotechnology products, forages for animals, cosmetics other. Among the products focused on health sector, Sigma Medical Supplies offers the medical equipment and goods for sterilization: craft packets for sterilization of tools and devices, tapes indicators, drainage tubes, supplies and accessories. The company sells medical devices under the brand and also makes products by request of other companies, acting as contract producer.

By July, 2018 the company is considered the Asia's second in value producer of packets for sterilization. At this Sigma Medical Supplies actively works for export, delivering abroad about 40% of all products.

History

2018: BenQ purchased Sigma Medical Supplies

In July, 2018 the Benq company announced acquisition of Sigma Medical Supplies, thereby having continued the active expansion in the medical market.

Under the terms of the agreement, BenQ buys a 80 percent share in Sigma Medical Supplies for 450 million Taiwan dollars ($14.7 million at the rate of at the time of the announcement of the transaction).

BenQ purchased the producer of the Sigma Medical Supplies iatrotechnics

According to the DigiTimes edition with reference to the statement of Benq, the company, having absorbed Sigma Medical Supplies, will be able to expand a product portfolio of Benq Materials and to accelerate the development in the market as the customer base and assortiment of goods at the companies are crossed slightly.

Sigma Medical Supplies will be a part of division of Benq Materials which among other things specializes in medical products. Despite associations of company assets will independently work, but intend to use mutually technologies of each other "for achievement of steady growth and providing integrated solutions to clients".^[1]
