On July 30, 2018 the Inoventica company reported that it together with JSC MTT started deployment of LoRaWAN-network in Samara for the partner of MTT, Telecom Samara LLC. This project is expected B2B-audience, and the Telecom Samara company intends to use possibilities of MTT network for providing IoT-services to private enterprises on the basis of attached devices (sensors).
LoRaWAN MTT network is developed within the tripartite agreement between MTT, Telecom Samara company (manages the program platform, provides software and client service) and Inoventica group (provides capacities of DPC for data storage from sensors, resources of transport networks and the solution on protection against DDoS attacks).
As base stations of LoRaWAN-network stations of producers of the market of IoT-solutions which allow MTT to build reference network for data collection and connection of any sensors, and not just metering devices – waters, electricity and gas are tested. The created network and a software platform should be most open for connection of the widest line of vendors and devices to provide profitable rates and products for consumers.
The shell program for data collection of sensors is provided by the Kazan developer, Energotekhaudit company.
For MTT Internet of Things is one of the most perspective and strategically significant directions of business of the company. We decided to focus on LoRaWAN technology as it allows to approach flexibly architecture of the created network, and quickly enough to scale the solution in case the partner wants to increase sharply the number of sensors or their type. "Pilot" network segment in Samara will just give us the chance to test all nuances of a project startup using this technology. Andrey Azhigirov, director of BE "Interoperator Interaction"

After completion of construction of MTT network and the period of testing, Telecom of the Samara is going to expand a range of attached devices – sensors of flooding, pressure, temperature, heat, etc. At the same time connection of sensors for harmful and dangerous operating conditions is planned that will allow to offer service in data collection not only city consumers, but also the large industrial companies and bodies in the field of technical supervision.
