DONNTU (Donetsk national technical university)

The Donetsk national technical university (DONNTU) — a higher educational institution of Donbass.

It is widely known under the name DPI (Donetsk Polytechnical Institute).

History

2014

Due to the armed conflict in the southeast of Ukraine, the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1129 of 10/3/2014 the Donetsk national technical university was transferred to the city of Krasnoarmeysk (nowadays Pokrovsk) to Donetsk region.

However a considerable part of students and teachers remained in Donetsk at the permanent address.
