The solution eLTE-DSA (eLTE Discrete Spectrum Aggregation) is designed to help the energy companies of the world with construction of "the last mile" of neural network for power supply networks.

2018: Submission of the solution

On June 19, 2018 the Huawei company presented the solution eLTE-DSA created based on technology 4.5G, with a possibility of evolution to a 5G and opening possibilities of Internet of Things for the companies of the oil and gas industry.

As noted in Huawei, the technology of wireless communication of the eLTE standard is more and more widely used in the oil and gas industry, allowing to perform monitoring and mobile inspection of systems and devices in the remote dangerous areas. Meanwhile, the traditional narrow-band discrete range (narrowband discrete spectrum) of VHF (30 ~ 300MHz) / UHF (300 ~ 3000MHz) used in the energy sector does not meet the requirements of Internet of Things in power industry. eLTE-DSA is designed to help the energy companies to break this barrier and to carry out digital transformation.

The presented solution of Huawei uses technology 4.5G for aggregation of a traditional narrow-band discrete frequency spectrum of VHF/UHF in resources of a broadband range, solving thereby a problem of a lack of resources of the selected frequency spectrum in the world. eLTE-DSA provides the minimum delay of 20 ms and simultaneous connection up to 4,000 users in one cell that will promote implementation of technologies of Internet of Things in the oil and gas industry for increase in operational efficiency, expansion of number of the used services and increase in energy efficiency. At the same time, the solution allows to reach increase in transmission rate for one user which is calculated not by KB / with, and Mbps. The minimum value of energy consumption of the module is 0.15 watts.

Within this concept the Huawei company in cooperation with industry partners creates solutions for sectors of exploration and production, transportation, processing and storage of hydrocarbons, the production allowing to translate in a digital field, to ensure safety of works and to increase performance.
