On August 13, 2018 the company Rubius reported that together with Administration of the Tomsk region started project implementation according to the analysis of big medical data. According to the company, at the first stage with the help algorithms Big Data it is supposed to increase efficiency of ambulance, and in the long term – to prevent heart attacks and strokes.
As it was reported, in Russia the analysis of large volumes of heterogeneous digital information in the social sphere is still insufficiently developed. Though sources of information are – for example, medical data. They gather in the Tomsk region since 2012 when all medical institutions were connected to the regional medical information system (MIS).
Information was saved for each patient within six years, beginning of date of birth and finishing with the diagnosis rendered by treatment and an outcome. The administration of the Tomsk region acted as the customer, provided the depersonalized data and removed all administrative and legal barriers connected with collecting and work with personal data. According to the company, the first analysis results of data are expected in October, 2018. Further clinical consultants - the staff of Fund of compulsory health insurance, Department of health care of the region, emergency doctors and the staff of the Siberian state medical university who will analyze the received models will be connected to work.
Analysis results will allow emergency doctors to estimate more precisely risk cardiovascular pathologies at the patient, in time to interfere and by that to save to it life.
