On November 23, 2018 the Acronis company announced implementation of technology of detection of malware for cryptocurrency mining and provided Acronis True Image 2019 Cyber Protection, updating of the consumer solution for backup where protection against malware for cryptomining will be implemented in the solution of backup intended for personal use.

The Acronis company recorded rapid distribution of cases of cryptocapture which quantity as it is reported, grew by 629% during the period from the fourth quarter 2017 on the first quarter 2018. Millions of computers are infected with malware worldwide for cryptomining thanks to which criminals can abduct computer resources for processing of cryptocurrency transactions, claim in Acronis.
