2018: Pocophone F1

On August 27, 2018 the Xiaomi company provided the Pocophone F1 smartphone released under the Pocophone subbrand. The model is positioned by the producer as the powerful gadget for geeks and fans of interactive entertainments.

Xiaomi noted that the Pocophone F1 body with a black panel is executed of aramide fiber. This strong, heat-resistant material is widely used in aviation and war industry, cyclic productions. Thanks to powerful to the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and LiquidCool liquid cooling system the device can work at peak capacity for a long time. Internal researches of the company showed that such system for 300% is more effective, than traditional decisions without use of liquid as it allows to take away quicker heat from the processor.

Pocophone F1 is equipped with the accumulator on 4000 mAh. The company says that its charge lasts for eight hours of games without interruption. The smartphone also has 6 GB of RAM of the LPDDR4x type and the internal memory up to 256 UFS 2.1 GB.

Pocophone F1 has the double camera with the system of the artificial intelligence (AI). The camera is equipped with the MT main sensor 12 Sony IMX363 with Dual Pixel auto focus – their combination allows to take pictures in the conditions of bad lighting or when shooting against light. The front camera is equipped with 20 MT by the sensor with the Super Pixel technology combining information of four pixels collected in one big 1.8 micron pixel that creates sharp images with the minimum noise. And frontal, and the main cameras support a system of the artificial intelligence (AI) for the different modes of shooting, such as portrait mode, Beautify mode and determination of scenes with support of AI, specified in Xiaomi.

Pocophone F1 also has the built-in infrared sensor allowing AI to unblock phone in the dark.

As for program "stuffing", usual to users of MIUI it was processed especially for Pocophone F1, the developer specified. Function for optimization of a system under the name "turbocharged engine" was added. It provides to Pocophone F1 quick start of applications, high game performance and also speed of display of elements of the interface due to improvement of a response of the screen and picture frequency of animation.

Formed MIUI basis for Poco operating system Android to 8.1 Oreo. Developers promise that in the long term the device will receive updating of Android P.

Devices are available to buyers in Russia since August 30, 2018. Pocophone F1 is available with two types of the back panel – graphite black and steel blue flowers. Its retail price begins from 23,999 rub for model of 6 GB of operational and 64 GB of an internal memory, or 25,999 rub for model with 6 GB of operational and 128 GB of an internal memory.^[1]
