Impulse UPSes provided protection of power supply on technology objects World Cups 2018

On August 29, 2018 it became known that the Sistemotekhnika company, being the official representative of the Russian brand IMPULSE provided regular power supply of a communication equipment of the Organizing committee of the World Cup, organized a monitoring system and technical supports of the main football action of 2018.

For implementation of the systematized approach to accomplishment of a task, all necessary equipment for creation of a system of protection of power supply on technology objects of the Organizing committee of the Championship was separated into 3 main groups. A total quantity of the IMPULSE UPSes installed on all objects – 794 pieces. The equipment was distributed between 14 platforms, including 12 stadiums in the different cities of the Russian Federation, a back office of the Organizer and Command center information technologies in the International broadcasting center of the Championship.

The system of uninterrupted power of objects was constructed on industrial 3 phase UPSes IMPULSE of PROM TL 33 and 1-phase UPSes IMPULSE FREESTYLE of different power with a possibility of placement them in 19' racks.

In the shortest possible time specialists of Sistemotekhnika company performed works on design, delivery, installation, commissioning. For accomplishment of such strict requirements the possibility of high-speed modular replacement of the problem equipment was provided. Such approach provided high speed mounting and balancing and commissioning on objects.

Further the monitoring system of a large number of objects on 14 platforms was unrolled and the system of technical support with instant reaction to any non-staff situation on an object is provided.

During all matches of the World Cup the equipment IMPULSE provided protection and necessary long reservation for the systems of broadcast of radio and telecasting, existence of the Internet, telephony, a steady signal of Wi-fi, ensured smooth operation of a communication equipment during press conferences of the soccer teams and traffic of media materials of journalists.

The feature of the project consisted in branching of structure of location of objects across the territory of the Russian Federation in which it was required to unroll the system of regular power supply and its monitoring, in combination with critically deadlines of accomplishment of these works. Despite confidence in the equipment IMPULSE having the extended reviewer sheet of many crucial objects of the Russian Federation up to the championship final all our command stayed in a status of the increased excitation.
