On August 9, 2021, Acer introduced a laser projector from the PL line - Acer PL6610T on the Russian market. The device is designed to output a projection in resolution up to 4K2K (3840x2160 points) with a luminous flux of 5500 lumen and is suitable for installation in rooms of any meter. The declared parameter is enough to display the picture even in well-lit audiences, and the ability to project at any angle in the range of up to 360 degrees allows you to use the projector in the conditions of non-standard layouts of exhibition halls and shopping centers.

With a brightness of 5500 lumens displayed at the output by an integrated laser diode, the user receives a uniform projection with clear contours and correct gradation of transient shades. 2019: Acer PL6510

On July 31, 2019, the company Acer introduced Russian laser projector the PL6510 on the market. The model has high brightness in the lumen 5500 and contrast 2,000,000:1, so it is suitable for working in large rooms of conference halls, audiences and museums even with bright lighting. Laser phosphorus technology, which is used in the projector lamp, provides high image quality and long service life, the manufacturer claims.

As noted in Acer, laser phosphorus light sources use a blue laser diode in combination with a phosphorus wheel and filter, which form the main colors of the RGB spectrum. Such light sources consume 30% less energy than conventional lamps for projectors at a similar level of brightness, and are capable of serving up to 30,000 hours with virtually no reduction in maximum brightness, which reduces the cost of servicing the projector. In addition, laser phosphorus light sources are manufactured without the use of mercury and do not harm the environment during recycling.

Another distinctive feature of laser projectors is the accuracy of color reproduction. In the PL6510 model, it reaches 94 percent compliance with the sRGB range, so colors always look natural, and brightness up to 5000 lumen and contrast 2,000,000:1 provide high image quality and detail even in darkened areas of the projection, at a long distance or with bright lighting. 2018: Projectors PL6610, PL6510, SL6610 and SL6510

On August 29, 2018, Acer introduced projectors from PL and SL lines, including the PL6610 (WUXGA), PL6510 (1080p), SL6610 (WUXGA) and SL6510 (1080p) models. All projectors use laser light sources, while short-focus devices of the SL line are suitable for small rooms, for example, for classrooms, and the PL line is designed for customers for whom the size of the room does not play a special role. According to Acer, the devices are reliable and at low cost of service, suitable for use in the commercial and educational sphere.

Acer noted that the projectors of the PL and SL series are economical and provide high image quality and realistic colors through the use of modern laser diodes with a service life of up to 30,000 hours. The laser light source provides natural color rendering with 75% coverage of the NTSC gamut, so all shades on the screen remain bright and saturated, Acer claims.

According to the developer, the Acer PL and SL projectors support 1.6-fold approximation, which allows them to be used at different focal lengths. Standard (PL line) and short-focus (SL line) lenses help achieve greater freedom of choice of place during installation. Users will be able to turn any room into a cinema or presentation room without the need to rearrange furniture and risk accidentally violating the integrity of the infrastructure with wall mounts and other devices for installing a projector. Models do not need external columns, since they are provided with high-quality sound by two built-in speakers with a power of 10 watts.

As noted in Acer, the PL6610 is compatible with the HDBaseT interface, in which only one cable is used to send and receive audio and video signals, connect the device to the local network, control its operation and provide power. This allows you to simplify the installation of the projector, reduce infrastructure costs and reduce the number of wires in the room. The signal through the cable can be transmitted over the local network up to 100 m. The PL and SL projectors are compatible with the Crestron network solution, so users can control the operation of several projectors using one PC at once. This, according to the developer, is useful for group operations, for example, to simultaneously turn off all projectors located in different audiences.
