2018: Serial production RFID инлеев

On August 29, 2018 it became known that Mikron developed and mastered in serial production RFID инлеи for monitoring of a load and baggage in transport terminals of the airport.

By estimates International Air Transport Association (IATA), because of logistic errors of airline lose every 8th luggage unit, from them 3-4% irrevocably. The annual costs of airlines connected with losses of baggage make 2 billion dollars USA.

RFID marking will allow to minimize losses for 50-70%, since 2020 according to the solution IATA it will become obligatory and by January 1, 2020 all airports of the world should be equipped with the corresponding infrastructure. RFID technologies effectively solve the problems connected with transparency of tracking, accounting and management of loading, processing and removal of baggage from run and also collecting and data analysis - production statistics on baggage.

Automation of processing systems, loadings and unloadings of baggage and a load are guaranteed to the airports by high-quality service, the staff of airline and airport can monitor processes and the history of the movement of baggage from the moment of registration before issue to the passenger, including processing of transit baggage. Passengers will be able to use without loss of the things services of airlines, namely at integration with mobile application of airline passengers will be able to trace and receive notifications on the status and the place finding of baggage.

RFID инлей IBSK 1SD of the ultrahigh-frequency range (UHF) is developed by RFID laboratory of Micron and mastered in serial production in May, 2018.

On development given inleya 2 months — from the beginning of development before release of industrial samples left. At the expense of a configuration of the antenna inly has wide bandwidth, depends less on materials on which takes place. By Inly IBSK 1SD it is adapted for a self-adhesive RFID tag of M8042-1SD which can it is applied on cardboard or plastic. This tag can be used for goods marking of a broad spectrum – both avialabels, and products on pallets or blocks with cigarettes.

Inlya, built in a luggage label, has 128-bit memory of EPC and a set of functions, including self-adjustment and memory protection by the password on reading record, maintains working temperature from -20 °C to +80 °C at humidity of 15-80%, it is steadily read out at distances up to 12 meters in ETSI the region at frequencies from 865 MHz to 868 MHz.

The RFID system of tracking of baggage provides almost faultless processing of baggage and determination of its position in the territory of the airport in each point of control up to loading in the airplane.
