2018: Release of the hearing aid to the market

At the end of August, 2018 Starkey Hearing Technologies announced as the company claims, the first-ever hearing aid with artificial intelligence and functions of the fitness tracker. Besides, the device under the name Livio AI received I will support the voice assistant to Amazon Alexa.

The producer calls Livio AI "the multi-purpose hearing aid" which helps hearing-impaired people and at the same time has some potential of wearable electronics. So, the gadget collects data on physical activity of the user which can be browsed in Google applications of Fit and Health Apple.

Through Amazon Alexa it is possible to look for information on the Internet or to manage reproduction of music on the smartphone. In the latter case the hearing aid turns into the headset which allows to receive phone calls.

However Livio AI remains first of all the hearing aid from the famous producer. In Starkey Hearing Technologies pay attention to implementation of special Hearing Reality technology thanks to which it was succeeded to reduce extraneous noises by 50% and to provide more exact audibility of the speech of the interlocutor. It is relevant for noisy places, for example, near the road. Hearing Reality facilitates load of an auditory organ and increases comfort in work with the hearing aid. Users can also adjust volume of sound manually.

Also in Livio AI an AI system which in real time translates the speech into different languages found application. Connection of special wireless accessories of Starkey Hearing Technologies, one of which allows to manage the TV instead of the panel, is possible.

By the end of August, 2018 Livio AI is on sale in the USA and Canada, and in the 2019th the product should appear in other countries. The price is not set.^[1]
