Rostelecom and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation signed the agreement on cooperation

On September 4, 2018 it became known that Rostelecom and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation signed the agreement on cooperation aimed at the development of economy, increase in efficiency of power industry due to automation and digital transformation and implementation of technologies of the industrial Internet.

The agreement defines general terms and the directions of long-term cooperation of the parties. In particular, the document is directed to assistance to implementation of technologies, including the industrial Internet, analytics of data bulks and also to study of a possibility of use of technologies of the industrial Internet, the organization and holding of conferences, seminars and the presentations within joint activity, preparation and the publication of scientific, information and other publications.

For permanent interaction concerning implementation of the agreement, the party appointed responsible representatives. Rostelecom and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation are going to communicate, necessary for development of agreed measures on implementation of the agreement, and as required to create the joint working groups.

Agreement signature – an important stage of digitalization of a power complex of Russia. Use of digital platforms and the systems of collecting of primary data on power generation facilities will allow to implement the special principles of management, to bring power industry to other level of intellectualization and to make one of the most advanced industries. Digitalization will allow to receive significant savings of resources, to make the industry of more effective, and power generation facilities more eco-friendly.
