2018: Sony SNC-HMX70 IP camera

On September 3 the ARMO-Systems company announced that the Sony company released the camera SNC-HMX70 for panoramic shooting in big premises of shops, offices, banks and other objects where it is required to observe without "blind zones". The IP camera with the overview by 360 degrees uses 1/2.3" the CMOS sensor with the resolution of 12 MP, a lens of 1.6 mm and the built-in microphone and is expected the round-the-clock image transfer.

Sony SNC-HMX70 IP camera

As the developer noted, broadcast of the hemispherical 360-degree image the camera of Sony performs 30 fps with frame rate. To reduce flow bitrate to 50% without loss of quality of video, the IP camera uses the Smart Coding technology performing compression of dynamic and static areas with different coefficient and also noise cancellation. For bigger economy of archive space of SNC-HMX70 allows to direct to record only the selected areas of a frame, and to use the panoramic image only for the current viewing, the video analysis and detection of disturbing events.

According to the statement of the developer, the "onboard" video analytics of the IP camera is capable to detect, recognize and identify people and/or objects within a 360-degree zone of observation and also to monitor their movement and to notify on alarms according to statutory rules. Using the built-in functions of the video analysis the IP camera can become the business process optimization tool as it is capable to execute not only security, but also marketing tasks. For example, to conduct calculation of visitors in shop, to trace ways of their movement on all "coverage", etc.

Support of four formats transferred from SNC-HMX70 the images allows to select the most convenient for perception by the operator and solving of tasks of video control. The hemispherical image from the IP camera received using 1.6 mm of the lens "fish eye" can be transformed to a kvarirovanny or corridor format and also to adapt it for an output in the mode of electronic PTZ (turn/inclination/zoom) without loss of high resolution. It is necessary for implementation of ePTZ of functionality on the image which is created by the IP camera, to select/appoint the most important sections (ROI) requiring permanent monitoring noted in Sony.

The Sony SNC-HMX70 IP camera has rather thin body, about 3 cm in height

As the developer claims, the broad dynamic range in 92 dB plus additional 16 dB in combination with intellectual automatic adjustment of exposure allows the SNC-HMX70 IP camera to adapt quickly to light conditions on an object. With the overview in 360 degrees it is especially important for the IP camera as will always get into the shot at the same time and windows through which bright sunlight arrives and shadow sections of the premises, an illumination level of these sections will change during the day. Thus, aligning contrast and image brightness within 360 degrees, the IP camera will transfer all parts of a scene.

Not striking design of the IP camera and rather thin body (about 3 cm in height) do SNC-HMX70 almost imperceptible in an interior. Installation of the camera is simplified by existence in the delivery of a handling ring with a latch and power supply on Power-over-Ethernet technology. On network this IP camera applies the three-level system of passwords and authentication to protection of video against unauthorized access 802.1x. Interaction of SNC-HMX70 with software of network system of video surveillance and with other network video devices is performed under protocols of ONVIF.

12-megapixel IP cameras with the 360-degree Sony SNC-HMX70 overview are available in the Russian market at the retail price of 97,187 rub.
