Product
Developers: "SysSoft"
Date of the premiere of the system: 2018/09/10
Branches: Internet services

On September 10, 2018 the System Software company announced release of the calculator of calculations of cost of the equipment for virtual machines of VMware.

As it was reported, development of "System software" in real time will calculate the cost of the equipment necessary for correct operation of virtual machines based on VMware of vSAN. The calculator will ask questions: type and the number of necessary servers of virtualization, a license type of VSAN, number of IOPS from 0 to 10,000 (the input-output operations executed by a storage system in one second).

Customers can also specify whether it is necessary to consider Fiber Channel (the protocol for high-speed data transmission), to select age of TSO (set of lifecycle of ownership of a system) and a reequipment cycle. After that the calculator will calculate CAPEX and OPEX, the cost of ownership of the equipment (the general and for each GB) and will provide the information on efficiency of the solution: decrease in capital and operating costs. A part of indicators are given in an evident visual form.

Network virtualization — complete reproduction of physical network by a program method which increases adaptivity, flexibility and scalability of the IT environment. The solution reduces costs, accelerates deployment of workloads, increases their performance and availability, automates processes thanks to what infrastructure of the company becomes more managed and economic. The vSAN VMware platform gives optimal opportunities for development, decrease in total cost of ownership and scaling for future tasks.
