- work in IPTV/OTT networks
- support of infrastructure of SmartLabs and ability to integrate into third-party infrastructure
- support of the majority of subscriber devices
- data analysis, collected both from client applications, and from servers
- tools of analytics, monitoring, reporting
- Real-time monitoring, relevance of data — 1 minute
- possibility of event filtering to within the specific subscriber
- possibility of data filtering on a time frame
- setup of a time frame for aggregation of data
- monitoring of quality of HLS broadcasting
- user-friendly graphical interface
- includes all key metrics for quality evaluation (the list of metrics constantly extends)
- the timely and preventive notification about changes or problems in a system due to use of mathematical analysis algorithms of a system behavior
- possibility of export of data to files of the CSV and PDF formats in a schedule type and tables
- possibility of filtering of history of events
- fast data output in the graphical interface
- reporting according to the schedule
- role model of users of a system
Features (for September, 2017)
- The integrated monitoring system of IPTV and OTT
- SmartCARE supports collecting and data analysis for both push technologies — both in the managed networks (IPTV), and on the Internet (OTT). It allows the operator to use single solution for any options of rendering services.
- Preventive identification of problems
- Feature of SmartCARE is the possibility of preventive detection of potentially problem sections of a system. Using mathematical methods of a clustering and algorithms of decision making SmartCARE online defines dependences (access networks, type of the equipment, the version of applications, browsed content and many other parameters) at the subscribers experiencing difficulties with receiving service analyzes them and defines what subscribers with similar parameters are in risk group. These data can be used for informing the subscriber on possible problems and methods of their elimination.
- Use of all obtained information
- SmartCARE uses both realtime this, and all saved statistics, in a special way aggregating it for further quick access.
- SmartCARE gives an opportunity of monitoring of the current client sessions and quality of provision of services in real time (real-time monitoring, tracking). Values of the traced parameters are updated on the toolbar each 60 seconds.
- There is an opportunity to filter and analyze history of events of a system. For example, having filtered last events by the average number of switchings of bitrate for the specified time frame, it is possible to reveal shrinkages as the provided services: than high quality less switchings of bitrate, subjects.
- Tool kit
- SmartCARE simplifies work of services of operation. The functional SmartCARE interface for services of monitoring, technical support and also for a command service managers allows to reveal timely emergence and development of critical situations in network and to take measures for preserving of service quality. Use of the analysis of dependences of parameters of the subscribers experiencing deterioration in service allows to define more quickly origins of problems and their elimination. Data retrieveds can be exported to files of the CSV and PDF formats in a schedule type and tables.
- Modularity and scalability
- Due to use of the latest technologies in storage areas and information processing SmartCARE allows to increase almost infinitely a subscriber base due to adding of add-on modules of a system and hardware resources for data storage.
- Accuracy of data
- SmartCARE collects data and from client devices, and from the broadcasting system servers. As a result the company obtains more exact and detailed information on quality of the services of digital television provided by it.
- Operational information display
- The requested data are displayed in the interface quickly, irrespective of duration of the time frame specified when filtering. It occurs due to preliminary aggregation of data the SmartCARE system.
Architecture
The SmartCARE system has the client-server architecture. Data from client devices and servers of stream broadcasting go to the SmartCARE server on processing. On the basis of the arriving data the SmartCARE server analyzes quality of the provided services and reveals errors which can lead to complete loss, distortion, fluctuation or fading images.
Methods of data collection by the SmartCARE system (for September, 2017):
- API for client applications.
- Own client of SmartCARE who implements sending data on API from subscriber devices.[1]
