2018: LU300 HEVC
On September 11, 2018 the LiveU company provided the LU300 device from a line of HEVC for broadcastings on the air. The company also announced that it finished upgrade of a line of the devices for professional broadcasting fully, and based on the HEVC codec all possible form factors of LiveU transmitters are available. LU300 HEVC in a compact format combines high quality of video with an optimal speed of operation of the codec. The model is intended for users who need a portable device for broadcastings in high quality in field conditions or during the movement.
LU300 weighing about 900 grams in a configuration with a bag or the nakamerny holder supports up to six one-time connections: the device has two internal LTE modems, two external slots for USB modems, Wi-Fi and LAN interfaces.
As the producer noted, users can work in real time with the minimum delay and high quality of video even at low bitrate. The main difference of LU300 from software solutions in which the quality of video can decrease for maintenance of short delay consists in it, according to the developer, or switch to H.264 for preserving of operating time of the accumulator. Hardware solutions of LiveU continuously code in HEVC, providing more long battery life, in LU300 it makes 3 hours.
The Live&Store function allows to download the videos of the airs saved in high quality. LU300 can also serve as the independent video coder or be used as mobile access point of LiveU DataBridge for the organization of work on the Internet in field conditions. LU300 is equipped with the bright 2.2-inch display from the work updated a system in the menu for easy and convenient use. The powerful processor for fast loading of files became advantage of model, the producer claims.
LU300 it is possible to manage locally or far off through LiveU Central, a single platform of management for strimingovy solutions of LiveU.
The device, according to the developer, will go on sale in the fourth quarter 2018.
