PTK "Ovation" is implemented at gas turbine CHPP Vostochnaya in Vladivostok

On September 17, 2018 it became known that the Ovation software and hardware complex (SHC) is implemented at gas turbine CHPP Vostochnaya in Vladivostok.

The CEO of PJSC RusHydro Nikolay Shulginov and the acting the governor of Primorsky Krai Andrey Tarasenko watched process of start of the third gas turbine unit: preparation of the panel of start of gas, turning on of the hydrostarter, oscillator locking with network, an exit to load rating of the power unit of 46.5 MV, and the station worked at full capacity.

The capital equipment at CHPP Vostochnaya is controlled with the help of the Ovation software and hardware complex (SHC) of Emerson company which is developed especially for power industry.

A number of process systems of the station is equipped with own local automatic control systems which PTK "Ovation" integrates in a single system and allows to manage continuously the station from one control panel. Integration increases efficiency of data collection and processing about parameters of technology process and increases reliability of management of combined heat and power plant. And the single system of archiving of data analyzes and controls work of all station.

PTK "Ovation" showed flexibility and adaptivity in processes of adjustment and step-by-step input of the equipment in operation. A system provides permanent monitoring and safety of management in any operation mode of power plant.

Based on PTK "Ovation" the system of vibration diagnostics for continuous condition monitoring of network pumps which pump over hot water from the station to consumers in the city is implemented. Constant control of a status of high-performance pumps of megawatt power is necessary. The system of vibration diagnostics will allow to predict bearing wear of network pumps of the first and second network area because of vibration that considerably will reduce risk of accidents and will prolong life of pumps[1].
