Rosmorport (EDMS)

A system is created based on a software package BOSS-Referent – own development of Aplana company. Upon completion of the EDMS project will integrate 21 platforms of Rosmorport in a common information space and more than 1200 jobs will include.

From the moment of formation before the enterprise there was a task to develop and support managerial procedures which will provide effective management of its complex geographically distributed structure.

RMP became the receiver of a part of the managerial functions which were earlier executed by the Sea Administrations of Ports (SAP) therefore when choosing the software solution for creation of EDMS the existing experiment of MAP on implementation and operation of electronic document management systems was analyzed. The software package BOSS-Referent – own development of Aplana company (IT group) implemented on the Lotus Domino/Notes platform was as a result selected.

Implementation of EDMS is executed by Aplana company. The project is performed in two stages. The first stage of the project completed in March of the current year included creation of EDMS for a pilot zone which entered Central office of RMP (Moscow) and also branches of the enterprise located in Novorossiysk, Astrakhan and St. Petersburg. Implementation was preceded by work on collecting and the analysis of specific requirements of Rosmorport to EDMS and development of conceptual approach to its creation.

In addition to automation of work of offices and general departments the created EDMS RMP supports functions of managerial document flow, ensuring functioning of heads and specialists of the enterprise for approval of documents, formation of instructions and control of their execution.

At the second stage of the project which started in April, 2006 a system is replicated on the RMP other branches. In total the created EDMS will integrate 21 platforms RMP in a common information space and more than 1200 jobs will include.
