LG Electronics equipped with the displays Ostankino Television Tower

On September 17, 2018 it became known that the LG Electronics company together with a command of the Ostankino tower and Orion Arth company successfully implemented the project on creation of an interactive multimedia complex. A broad set of a line of displays of LG, including products, such as UltraStretch and OLED was involved in the project.

The interactive multimedia complex equipped with the equipment and the software suggests visitors to get acquainted with one of constructions of the Soviet era, to learn about its features and technical characteristics. Here visitors of a tower will also be able to plunge into the fascinating world of radio and television and to learn a lot of the world, interesting about towers, and current trends in development of the international tower tourism.

Exposure of an interactive multimedia complex includes analytical center and the museum of construction which are located in the foyer of a television tower and on the observation deck on a mark of 337 m.

From the very beginning of the project dense work with representatives of a television tower for development of the most exact technical specifications and implementation of this project was conducted. There was a major problem – to inform of television tower history people simple words. It became visually possible to submit this information using OLED panels of LG. It should be noted that the space in a television tower is rather limited. But thanks to characteristics of OLED panels – possibilities of a bend and small thickness, they harmoniously fitted into this space. And interactive opportunities of products allow the visitor to be involved in this process of knowledge of details of life of a television tower.

Within the project the media server which receives from the sensors which are at the different levels of a tower all information on temperature, humidity, force and the direction of wind, pressure and to other parameters was created. This media server in real time distributes information which is necessary for it for each visualization on each of modules. On the observation deck a digital part of viewing a panorama of the city was implemented thanks to what visitors will be able to see the city from height and with detailing at any time.

In this project with Ostankino Television Tower a wide number of products of LG is used. These are LG UltraStretch and OLED displays, also as well as more classical versions of solutions: UHD displays of big diagonals, such as 75, 86 and 98 inches. Also it is interactive displays which allow to provide interaction with visitors of a museum complex and Ostankino Television Tower.
