DIRECTUM Bot is the solution which using the chat-bot provides access for employees to corporate services. The chat-bot works in mobile application of Viber on the configured business processes.

2019: Availability to DirectumRX

On April 30, 2019 it became known of availability of the solution DIRECTUM Bot for users of DirectumRX. With the help of the chat-bot employees can directly send in the messenger requests to internal services and get acquainted with documents.

DIRECTUM Bot for DirectumRX works in mobile application of Viber on the configured processes. The current version of the solution includes two processes which often meet in practice:

  • execution of service requests;
  • acquaintance with documents.

Possibilities of the chat-bot are not limited to the processes entering delivery. The solution can be adapted for requirements of the organization, whether it be work with instructions or carrying out employee surveys.

Communication of a system and the messenger is implemented by analogy with the solution for Directum: the chat-bot interacts with DirectumRX through services of integration and exchange. For example, when the employee in Viber creates the request for repair of the computer, the task to the IT specialist goes to DirectumRX.


According to the developer, the last several years are observed a round of development of chat-bots. And if at first bots were perceived as the tool for communication and entertainment, then now they solve business challenges, working together with corporate systems. The solution can be adapted for specific business challenges of the organization. For example, clients use chat-bots for issue of instructions, approval of draft documents and the organization of meetings. Adaptation does not take a lot of time, and DIRECTUM Bot is quickly built in the current processes of the company according to her requirements. The flexible solution architecture allows to use the messengers usual for the organization: both public, and internal.

2018: Directum Bot release

On September 19, 2018 the Directum company issued the solution for digital interaction of DIRECTUM Bot. According to the company, the solution allows to automate different business processes of the company, for example, execution of instructions, execution of requests for repair. The solution includes two demonstration scenarios which often meet in practice: request of the 2-PIT statement and acquaintance with the document.

Besides, the solution includes the chat-bot in Viber, services of integration and exchange, the DIRECTUM components for development and setup of business processes. The chat-bot interacts with the DIRECTUM system through services of integration and exchange. For example, when the employee in Viber requests the 2-PIT statement, to the accountant the task goes to DIRECTUM.

DIRECTUM Bot provides:

  • Involvement in digital interaction of employees without access to information systems or the PC.
  • Cutting of costs for connection to information systems. To work with the solution, it is enough to user to set the messenger on the mobile device and to become authorized in DIRECTUM Bot chat.
  • Fast connection of users to the solution. The messenger is simple in use and always near at hand. For work only Internet access is necessary.
  • Easy business process automation of the company by means of the chat-bot.

For September, 2018 the companies do not doubt need of implementation of EDMS and automation of the business processes any more. For them becomes the following level of automation – transfer of processes to completely electronic form at all stages with involvement in digital interaction of earlier non-automated employees. The solution "DIRECTUM Bot" becomes not only the instrument of development of corporate services, but also allows to increase efficiency of business processes behind borders of ECM, involving in them everything new participants of business process.
