Severstal (EDMS)

The decision on workflow automation was made for the purpose of creation of uniform managerial space of holding in the conditions of the reorganization which is carried out to JSC Severstal and adaptations of the new principles of management.

The main tasks of the project were: optimization and unification of the end-to-end business processes of document flow covering different structures of holding. In particular, standardization of rules of conducting internal correspondence and work with correspondence; creation and support of the regulations of work with agreements specific to large industrial enterprises; reduction of time for decision making and labor costs on a management activity; creation of efficient mechanisms of control of performing discipline.

At the initial stage of the project the company purchases the general license for EDMS BOSS-Referent. For the end of 2008 in systems about 1000 users worked.

The automated electronic document management system of management (ASDOU) Severstal was created based on a system BOSS-Referent. Entered a zone of the project: General directorate (management company) of JSC Severstal, "Cherepovets iron and steel works", Management company of a resource division Severstal Resource and one of the enterprises of a division — Vtorchermet Ltd. Implementation of the customized version of EDMS was executed by specialists of holding jointly with specialists of Aplana company. In a project deliverable the following was implemented: approval of agreements (EDMS "Severstal" supports about 60 regulations of agreements today), documentary ensuring decision making, processing of the entering and outgoing documents, support of complex organizational structures of the companies and organizations, including, support of mechanisms of authorized representatives, authority delegation and sovmeshcheniye.
