Lokotekh and ÖBB signed the agreement on cooperation on service of engines of the Austrian railroads

On September 25, 2018 the Lokotekh group announced agreement signature about cooperation with ÖBB-Technische Services in the field of upgrade, service and leasing of engines of the Austrian railroads.
The agreement purpose – growth of technical readiness of locomotives, development of the innovative solutions on upgrades of the traction rolling stock and joint service of ÖBB-Technische Services locomotives in Eastern Europe.
ÖBB-Technische Services is interested in upgrade of engines of BR1144 series in quantity up to 80 units. The parties agreed that at the first stage of cooperation Lokotekh will develop the technical concept of upgrade of the electric locomotives operated by the Austrian railroads. On its basis the specification and the works schedule will be made.
