2018: Announcement

On September 25, 2018 the Fujifilm company announced entry into the market of projectors. The first such device from the Japanese producer was unusual — with a rotary lens.

The optics of the Fujinon device rotates separately from the body diversely that, according to in Fujifilm, is unique development in the commercial market — nothing similar was offered by any other company.

The lens can move up and down, forward and back, to the left and to the right to configure the projected image, without touching the main unit. Thus, for example, it is possible to move quickly the picture from a wall on a ceiling. It will be possible to locate a projector both vertically, and it is horizontal.

Such construction is useful in the constrained places where to set a projector and the more so long it is difficult or inconvenient to configure it. Sometimes in such cases apply the motorized platforms, and Fujinon solves this problem without additional hardware.

The provided model is equipped with ultrashort-focus lenses and is capable to output the image with the diagonal of 100 inches from distance about 75 cm Besides, the producer pays attention to "difficult design of a product" which assumes use of the rounded edges and compact dimensions. The device in folded form has the form of a box and can be located, for example, in a dresser box.

The first projector of Fujifilm

In the press release it is said that the new projector should find application as digital advertisement panels in shops or means an output images in art galleries, the museums and other places where the space for a projection is limited and it is possible to use a ceiling.

Sales of the first in the range of Fujifilm projector will begin in 2019. Its price will be set closer to entry into the market.^[1]
