The Ruselectronics holding of State Corporation Rostec developed the system of video control for passenger transport which can distinguish persons of people. The equipment is already used in buses of St. Petersburg, reported on September 27, 2018 in Rostec.
The technology implemented by NPO Impulse of Ruselectronics identifies the personality, removing two biometric parameters: quasi-3D - an image of the person and an iris of the eye of an eye. The algorithm will recognize and verifies the subject in 3-5 seconds even at an inclination and turn of the head, change of appearance by means of a wig, points, a beard or as a result of natural aging. A system is capable to accumulate collected information and to provide it at the request of law enforcement agencies for determination of offenders. The similar technology is applied by FMS of the Russian Federation at production of biometric foreign passports.
In addition to face recognition, in the system of video control function of calculation of passengers according to the image received from cameras over door passes of the vehicle is implemented. According to Rostec, she allows to refuse additional sensors and control systems of opening and closing of doors, having reduced thus equipment cost. The algorithm of video processing counts the number of passengers with an accuracy of 100%, claim in state corporation. Also a system is integrated with route network, analyzing number of passengers on each of stops that allows to predict load of transport.
The set of a video surveillance system of NPO Impulse includes four video cameras which are mounted in inside of the bus, the video recorder with placement in a cabin of the driver and the equipment of wireless data transmission providing communication with jobs in dispatcher stations and also administration of carrier.
From the moment of installation of a system in passenger buses of St. Petersburg all road accidents with victims and road accident because of drivers were investigated using data of video monitoring. Besides, a system helped to consider more than 260 complaints and addresses of passengers, told in Rostec.
According to developers of NPO Impulse, a system saves time for analysis of incidents: to receive the video fragment from the specific vehicle, now it is not necessary to wait for return of the bus to the park. Permanent practice is providing at the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of video records for establishment of the persons who committed illegal acts. Besides, existence of remote access to video cameras of the bus increases discipline of driver's structure and conductors.
