The Ministry of Defence buys the PC on domestic Elbrus processors on 400 million

On September 28, 2018 it became known that Ministry of Defence it intends to add to the arsenal one thousand workstations on domestic processors "Elbrus". The ministry is ready to spend 400 million rubles for this equipment. This amount appears as the starting price of the announced private auction.

The notification on an auction is placed on the portal of state procurements. Requests are accepted from September 26 to October 12, 2018. They will be considered on October 16, the auction will take place on October 19, 2018.

In the notification it is specified that the Ministry of Defence intends to buy 500 stations "Elbrus 801-PC Options 2" at the starting price about 410 thousand rubles apiece, and as much stations "Elbrus 801-PC Options 3" at the price about 391 thousand rubles apiece. The purchased equipment should be supplied to the Ministry of Defence till September 30, 2019.

The amount of bid bond is 20 million rubles. According to the current legislation if the participant lowers the starting maximum price of the contract for 25% and more, providing is provided in a one-and-a-half size what it is mentioned in the notification.

In the notification it is also specified that the purchased equipment should correspond to the order of the Government of the Russian Federation of January, 2017 which prohibits the admission of the goods coming from the foreign states when purchasing for needs of defense of the country if these goods have analogs made in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

As the auction has the closed character, the technical specifications are not posted on the website of state procurements. Detailed information on an auction, including requirements to participants of purchases, is placed on specialized electronic platform the Automated system of biddings of the state defense order (nuclear heating plant of GOZ).^[1]
